It's the 4th of Feb, and what does that mean? Well it's a Thursday so new movies will be released in theaters, it's only 10 days to valentines day and the Alien vs Predator demo is being released across steam, Xbox Live and the Playstation Network.
The demo allows you to play as all three species, the Predator, the Alien and the Colonial Marine while tearing each other up on team Deathmatch in the the Refinery, one of the games great multiplayer maps.
As a special Australian bonus, the first 4000 people to download the PS3 demo will receive free a downloadable Character Skin Pack consisting of three skins- the Alien Head Predator aka The Serpent Hunter, the Alien Number Six and the Marine SGT Kaneko to use to customize your characters in multilayer in the full Alien vs Predator game.
Although no time has been confirmed for when the demo will be released tonight, I'm sure it's somewhere after the Simpsons and before SBS's Inspector Rex.

Damn... I don't understand why they would release this if matchmaking was this bad....
Yeah, is there really no one else playing this game or is the matchmaking just pathetic? I've given it up to 10 minutes on both consoles and it hasn't found a single other person to play with. And to make matters worse, Steam is down

match making is taking along time on both consoles and the file size is almost half the size on 360. mad fun though
I got bored and mucked around with linux for a bit and now it's running at 300-600kbps. Huzzah.
Edit: It was ok but the marine was fairly boring to play with. It's probably just me being rubbish but it was almost impossible to kill a predator unless they were distracted or I got lucky.
