Brett : Small profile release from a tiny company called Bungie. Apparently it’s the third in a series, following two other games called Halo and Halo 2. From the small amount of information available it seems it’s a FPS about a guy called Master Chief and might have some online play, but its doubtful anyone will play it. I knew a guy who knew a guy who lived with his brother whose mate actually played Halo 2, and he told me that the game was pretty average but the ending was excellent. Maybe Halo 3 will be a sleeper hit for Microsoft and the Xbox 360? Remember that you heard it here first folks.
Samo : What’s not to be said about Halo 3? A lot really because at this point we really don’t know anything about it. All we really have is that the game will be coming out this year, there’s going to be something about finishing a fight, and it’s going to be called Halo 3. Apparently. That hasn’t stopped pretty much everyone other than Matt getting excited about it and you wouldn’t be too far off if you called it the most anticipated game ever. What you can’t doubt, is that Bungie are the masters of building pre-release suspense. If you haven’t seen the announcement video or the one off TV ad, you ought to be revising your gamer status long and hard. Whether you’re a Halo fan or not, you can’t ignore the fact that it really is the greatest console FPS series ever. Watch the excitement build to fever pitch as 2007 rolls on.
